Attached to the ground for over 300 years and passionate about wine, we will take you on a journey ...
The beginning
There is Charles, my paternal great-grandfather, heir owner of a vineyard plot. There is also Ernest, my maternal great-grandfather, also a winegrower, from the neighboring village. Much more than the heritage of a wine heritage, I wear their first names: It is therefore from these two family figures that the CHARLES ERNEST brand was born.
This little piece of land is called:
La petite Marrère
This is by far our best plot.
A magical land, between forests and stone houses.
It is on hanged ground (+ 35%) that its attentive vines grow.
La petite Marrère is located not far from the small village of Bergeres.
It benefits from constant sunshine from very early morning until evening.
This allows for exceptional maturity.
A South Champagne terroir, Côte des Bar, BERGERES, close to CHABLIS, Kimmeridgien subsoil, providing typicality, purity, finesse and minerality.
From the vines over 35 years old, exceptional aromas are born.
